Preferred Contractors

by Larry Brooks  8/11/2019

Leaky faucet? Finicky light switch? It’s 100 degrees outside and your AC doesn’t work?

Having the right contractor to do the job and not break the bank makes home repairs and maintenance a whole lot easier.

So how do you find the right contractor? Talk to neighbors, friends, coworkers and your Property Manager. Read online reviews. Make sure that contractors are licensed and insured. No exceptions! Using unlicensed and uninsured vendors on any job is just asking for trouble. They might be able to do it cheaper, but in the end, you get what you pay for.

Our Preferred Contractor list is a great place to start.

Every one of our contractors goes through rigorous screening before providing services in a PPM managed home. Each is required to provide a copy of their business license and proof of insurance. All are interviewed by several members of our staff and researched via multiple sites such as Angie’s List, Yelp, Houzz and BBB.

When a vendor makes it through our vetting process, they then must prove themselves on a limited number of small jobs. Upon completion of initial jobs, the quality and result of their work is scrutinized by one of our Property Inspectors to ensure it meets the highest standards. Those that don’t cut it, don’t make our list.

In addition to being licensed and insured, our preferred contractors have a proven track record. Most have been working with PPM for at least a decade and some for more than 20 years.

It’s easy to search our preferred contractors. Select from the list of categories to find contractors that can help take care of everything from appliances to windows and doors in your home.
